Fish Pakora


Ingredients : -

  • 4 pieces of fish ( steamed and cut into cube size) you can take boneless fish .
  • Egg - 2 no
  • Salt as per your taste 
  • Chill powder - 1/2  tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Corn flour - 4tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 2tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying 

Methods : -

  • Take one big bowl and bit the eggs properly in this add the chilli powder,salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder and chopped coriander Leaves and mix it properly.
  • Then add corn flour and mix it well to make a smooth batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan for deep fry.
  • Then dip each cube pieces into the batter and put it in hot oil and make it fry till golden fry and crisp.
  • After that take it out to the kitchen napkin and serve hot with ketchup.
  • Enjoy your fish pakora.

Suji Halwa

very popular sweet dessert from Orissa, Suji is easy to prepare, practically takes no time to cook and tastes awesome. My son’s favorite dish. Come we will cook Suji  Halwa.
Ingredients:

  • Rawa - 2 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup (as per your taste if like less sugar you can put)
  • Ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Cashew Nut - 20gm
  • Raisin  – 20gm
  • Almond - 5-6 piece (Chopped)
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cup

Method:



  • Roast Suji in a frying pan for about 5-6 minutes.
  • Keep the heat low so that the suji doesn’t burn and turn brown then keep aside.
  • Start heating the milk and water then add the sugar and mix well.
  • Take a pan heat half spoon of Ghee, fry the Cashew nut and rising till the nuts turn little golden brown and then add the fried suji.
  • Fry for 1/2 a minute and then add the milk, water and sugar mixture.
  • Stir it properly to avoid forming lumps. Keep it for 2 mints.
  • When liquid is absorbed, move the pan from the flame and cover with a lid.
  • Your Suji halwa is now ready. Serve it hot or cold.

Chenna Poda (cheese Cake)







Chena Poda or cheese cake is an extremely authentic and extremely popular in odisha as a sweet dish that is made by slowly baking Chenna (Cottage cheese) in earthen fire for few hours and then cooling it down for hours before serving .The sweet dish owes its origin to the temple of Lord Jagannath. This is my husband’s one of the favorite sweet dish.

Ingredients:

  •  Cheese (chenna) – 1kg
  • Semolina (suji) – 150gm
  • Sugar (chini) – 500gm
  • Cashew nuts (kaju) -150gm
  • Raisin (kismis) – 50gm
  • Cinnamon (dalchini)- 50gm

Method: 

  •  Drain excess water from the curdled milk and mash the Chenna.
  • Pour all ingredients in that chenna (cheese) and mix it properly using spoon or a hand blender.
  • Preheat the oven at 350f .
  • Pour  the mixture into the baking pan add the garnishing and bake it 40-50 mints till the top turns to light brown.
  • Insert a tooth pick and check if it comes clean.
  • Cool it after taking out from the oven.
  • Your yummy sweet chenna  poda is Ready.
  • Carefully cut into pieces like cake and serve it.
